Most of the blogs I've seen related to paper crafting are geared to the creative aspect of the business. You're the creative expert. My expertise is in the business aspect of retailing. If you look at the "About Me" section you can see that my 50 year career has been split between retailing and selling to retailers. First with major retailers like Macy's Atlanta and The Kroger Company, then with two of the most respected Manufacturers Rep Companies,Fred Hill Inc. and The Collins Group.
I think that the area that most independent retailers need help with is the "Business End" . That's why, when I retired from The Collins Group in February 2011, I formed my own Consulting business for the independent retailer. My programs can benefit the independent retailer by teaching them the basic business principles used by the major retailers. Primarily the planning process of the business like planning sales, planning stock levels, planning purchases etc.
For several years I published a "Business Tips" article in the Fred Hill and The Collins Group customer newsletters.I'll be posting "Business Tips" articles on this blog on a regular basis. I plan on starting monthly articles, but I'm flexible. Below is my first "Business Tips" posting having to do with sales planning.
